Three Penny Opera
May 9 - 11, 2008
Pacific Cultural Center
Come celebrate mother's day weekend with a milestone of 20th century musical theater, The Threepenny Opera -- rolls on
unstoppably into the 21st century. In their opera "by and for beggars," composer
Kurt Weill and playwright Bertolt Brecht
transformed saccharine, old-fashioned opera and operetta forms, incorporating a sharp political perspective and the sound of 1920s Berlin dance bands and cabaret. Adaptation of Mark Blitztein Curtesy of R&H Theatricals
Meet the Cast and Crew of the production as well as a short synopsis.
